- ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES MUST BE USAV MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE

Dates: January 6-7th

Team Entry Fee: $450

Spectator Entry Fee: $25 Weekend/$15 Daily; Kids 5 and under Free - Onsite sales only via cash or credit card.  Wristbands are good for both locations.

WEATHER UPDATES: We will be keeping a close eye on the weather and will communicate through email to the club directors and coaches as well as our facebook and instagram page. If we do experience weather, we may push for a delay rather than cancelling so please stay tuned.

Locations: Liberty University Lahaye Recreation Center

• Doors and ticket sales open at 7:30am

• Team entry opens at 7:00am

• No Parking Fee

• No Food Tables or Coolers allowed indoors

• Concessions available provided by HOV with chips, drinks, miscellaneous snacks, candy; we will be offering Chick Fila sandwiches starting at 11am on Saturday, Pizza on Sunday at 11:30am. 

• Bagel and I food truck will be outside the main entrance doors serving Breakfast and Lunch.

12's, 13's and 14's - Morning Wave

15's, 16's, 17's and 18's - Afternoon Wave

Format: This will be a standard two-day event, pool play on Saturday followed by bracket play on Sunday, with all teams guaranteed a minimum of five matches

3-Way Tie-Breaking Procedures: 

• Set Percentage

• If there are still two teams tied after comparing sets, it goes to Head-to-Head

• If there is still a 3-way tie, after comparing sets the tie is broken by points.

• If there are still two teams tied after comparing points, it goes to Head-to-Head.

Officiating Assignments: 

• Please make sure to see if you have an officiating assignment prior to your first match of the day.  When possible, we try to have teams in new brackets officiate rather than having the previous loser officiate from a completed bracket;

• At times we utilize the "Previous Winner" rather than the "previous loser" to help with the flow of a bracket.  This allows us to finish the tournament with the last match scheduled to end earlier rather than later.

Coaches Check In:

• Players and Coaches have a separate Entry - Coaches need to check in their teams

• Head coach, Club Director, Assistant coach or Team Rep are more than welcome to do a teams check in.   Coaches MUST have wristbands for entry after check in is complete so it is whomever does the check in's responsibility to get the bands to the rest of their coaches

• Early Check In - Friday, January 5th: 6:30-9:00pm

• Coaches bands will be given out for each coach (not chaperone's or team rep) on a roster with a maximum of three.

• Rosters will be provided if they are completed by Wednesday.  Otherwise coaches need to bring a copy of their roster.

• ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES MUST HAVE AN USAV MEMBERSHIP - Please make sure that this information is completed and reflected correctly on your rosters as you WILL be required to write in any missing numbers or your player will be ineligible to play!

Spectator Notes

• Doors Open at 7:30am

• Parking is free at the Liberty University Lahaye Recreation Center

• Wristbands are good for all locations but if you lose your wristband you will have to purchase a new one.

• No Spectator limitations - everyone is welcome to Attend. 

• There will be a NO TOLERANCE policy for misbehavior by players/teams and spectators in the venues.  If you are disrespectful to any official, officiating team or staff member you will be excused from the event with no refund.  Spectators are not to talk to, yell at or correct the officiating team as these are minors and many of them are young. 

• Ball Handling is allowed on the volleyball courts only - DO NOT ALLOW PLAYERS TO HIT BALLS AGAINST THE WALL!

• Coolers and Food Tables are NOT allowed inside the gym

• Chairs are allowed - seating will also be provided (bleachers)

• Violation of these policies or any other general misbehavior may result in IMMEDIATE dismissal from the facility for the remainder of the day.

Food:  No Outside food or food tables allowed at any location.

TSHIRTS and Volleyball Gear will be sold on site!

Video Recording:  Parents - if you video your team - please make sure you are recording from OPPOSITE of the Bench.  No Video or fans are allowed behind the bench as per USAV Rules.



Refund Policy

• Teams not accepted into the Seven Hills Smash will receive a full refund.

• Once Accepted - 50% refund until October 15th

• After October 15th, no refunds will be given

• If the event is canceled due to the Coronavirus we will offer full refunds.
