II. VENUE POLICIES AND INFORMATION

Coaches, club directors, parents, and spectators are responsible for confirming that anyone attending or participating has not had COVID-19 symptoms within the 5 days leading up to the event OR come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days and not received a negative test result between 5-10 days after that contact. And that everyone is following CDC's current guidelines. For more information on what is suggested, click here.
Individuals who are sick or not feeling well, please stay home.
Wristbands must be worn while in the building. If you are not wearing a wristband, you will be asked to leave the building and go back through admissions.
Parking is free. Please see section below with more information regarding parking.
Signs will be present directing individuals where to enter for volleyball. Everyone will enter through the main doors near the ticket booth. One set of doors will be designated for teams with the remaining designated for spectators.
No camping will be available due to all courts being used. Please limit the amount of stuff you bring into the facility.
No outside chairs permitted. Bleacher seats and seat cushions will be allowed. All spectators will be required to sit in the assigned bleachers.
No outside food or beverages permitted with the exception of water. Concessions will be provided by the venue.
No tailgate tents permitted.
No firearms permitted.
No smoking is permitted inside at any time (Electronic cigarettes / vapes included.)
No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the facility.
No pets are permitted. This includes service animals not trained to perform a necessary life-saving task as defined by VA State Law.

III. PARKING INFORMATION

Parking is free at the facility.

IV. TEAM INFORMATION

A. TEAM CHECK-IN

Teams are to enter through the door designated for teams. An adult club/team representative will need to check in prior to each team's first match by turning in a printed and signed AES team roster for this specific event to the Tournament Director.

Keep the following in mind with your roster:

The roster you turn in should be your team's roster from AES specifically for this event. Click here if you need information on how to print your roster.
Because this is a AAU-sanctioned event, everyone on the roster and participating must have AAU memberships. All adults sitting on the bench must be on the team's roster.

Upon team checkin, the individual turning in the team roster will receive a wristband for coaches and team packet.

We are offering two options for when to do team check-in - Friday night from 5PM-9PM at the Chesapeake Bay Distillery and onsite Saturday.

If participating in team check-in on Friday at the distillery, note that adults will be greeted with a refreshing craft cocktail. The adult team rep turning in the team roster for check-in will be treated to ONE bottle of Chesapeake Bay Distillery's award winning spirits courtesy of Atlantic Coast Events! You will be offered the option of Blue Ridge Vodka, Ghost Pepper Infused Vodka, Lemon Liqueur and Chic’s Beach Rum. Two free tasting cards will also be found in your team packet so that you can come back and enjoy even more.

B. WARMUP BALLS

Teams will need to bring warm up balls. ACE will provide game balls.

C. WORKING ASSIGNMENT

When your team has a working assignment, you will need people responsible for the following positions: R2, two line judges, score sheet, score flipping, and libero tracking.

D. BENCH AND REFEREE AREAS

Please, clean up any of your areas when done. Coaches and Parents, while we expect athletes to do this on their own, please help the venue out by reinforcing this expectation.

E. NO TEAM CAMPING

Note that NO camping space will be available as ALL courts are being used for this event. Limit one bag per athlete.

F. TRAINERS

Bring your own wrap for the trainer to use.

Note that we try to have trainers at all of our 2-day events. However, please note that sometimes this does not happen due to shortage of staff and/or last minute cancels.

V. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Every team is guaranteed the number of sets equal to 5 matches. Aka, each team will play a minimum of 6 sets on Saturday and 4 sets on Sunday.

Pool play will take place on Saturday with playoffs on Sunday.

Format for pool play will depend on the number of teams within a division and pool. Pools with four teams or three teams playing a crossover match will play two sets to 25 with a third set to 15 if needed. Pools with three teams not playing a crossover match will play three sets to 25 regardless of the outcome.

Pool winners will be determined by match percentage. In case of a two-way tie, head to head results will be used. In case of a three-way, set percentage and then point differential will be used. If still tied, there will be a coin flip.

Playoffs will be best two out of three. The first two sets will be to 25 with the third set, if needed, to 15. No pool play tiebreakers will be played.

VI. SCHEDULE

*The schedule will be ready by the Wednesday prior to the event. Once the schedule is live, an email will go out via AES messaging to Club Directors and Head Coaches who are set up appropriately to receive these emails. We ask that you, please, avoid reaching out asking for the schedule. Once it is available, the highlighted portion above will be updated with the link. VII. ADMISSIONS

Note that the venue is in charge of ticket sales.

Admission is $39 ($30+venue processing fee) per person for the entire weekend and $27 ($20+venue processing fees) for one day. Children 5 and under are FREE. Save $5 on your tickets from Monday, February 26 through Tuesday, February 27, 11:59pm EST.

Wristbands will be provided and must be worn while in the venue. If you are not wearing a wristband, you will be asked to leave the building and go back through admissions.

Tickets are available for purchase online or will be at the entrance when doors open. We encourage ticket purchase online.

If purchasing your ticket online, make sure that you do not have any typos in your email address before submitting! You will receive an email with your QR code(s) to be scanned upon entrance. If you have a typo in your email, you will not be able to access your QR code.
