This is a great way to get more experience with volleyball, work with and teach volleyball to young players, and earn some money for your time and effort. Development opportunities are provided. There are 5 different levels of teams. Our newest addition is our 10's interclub teams where they practice and play locally within our own program as they build the basic knowledge of volleyball prior to playing and traveling regionally. Our “Regional” teams (Navy, Red and White) play 4-6 tournaments and travel more with 1-4 overnight stays, and “National” teams play 6-7 tournaments with 4-6 out-of-state tournaments or multi-day events including at least one national qualifier or tournament. Coaching assignments are based on coaching experience, available time, and seniority. HOV is supportive of coaches’ efforts to improve their skills and finances many opportunities for training/education. Coaches do get paid and all travel is paid for! Pay is determined by the amount of time required to work with each level of team as well as experience.
We also have many in house programs such as Volley KIDS, Volley Juniors, Volley Juniors Elite and Middle School Prep to increase your coaching spectrum. These programs require less time commitment for those who still want to coach but have difficulty committing to Travel schedule.
